报告摘要：A quandle is an algebraic structure analogous to a group. It essentially replaces the associative law in the definition of a group with the distributive law, which reflects its close connection with the Yang-Baxter equation. In this talk, I will give a quick introduction to the basics of quandle theory, with a particular focus on the construction and applications of topological quandles and topological biquandles. The questions raised in this talk may be more than the results it contains, which reflects how much we still remain ignorant about this research topic.

报告人简介：

程志云，北京师范大学数学科学学院教授，博士生导师，仲英青年学者。主要研究兴趣为低维拓扑，尤其是纽结理论。主持国家自然科学基金4项，论文发表在《Mathematische Zeitschrift》，《Algebraic and Geometric Topology》，《Canadian Journal of Mathematics》，《Mathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society》等国际数学杂志。
